Oak Ridge Chorale

The Camdenton Chorale was created by Mrs. Mack during the 1998-1999 school year, following the creation of first a 3rd grade Honor Choir in 1996-1997, and then a 4th grade choir named the Choristers in 1997-1998. The Chorale is an auditioned ensemble with auditions held in May for the upcoming school year. In 2000 and 2009, the Chorale was honored to perform for the annual MMEA conventions, and has been invited to perform for the following professional organizations: Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals, Missouri Music Educator’s Association Conference, Missouri Association of Reading Recovery Educators, and through Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, was invited to perform for the “Pathways to Student’s Success” Conference, with keynote speaker Art Linkletter. The Chorale yearly performs at a St. Louis Cardinals game, and last May the Chorale presented a shared concert with the Springfield Children’s Chorus, through invitation from the Lake Area Arts Council. We desire to entertain and inspire you with our music. The Chorale rehearses twice weekly, on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7:30 to 8:15. Performance selections include edited compositions in unison, 2-part, 3-part and 4-part. The director often edits the voicings to accommodate the vocal capabilities of 5th and 6th grade children, and yet challenge them with vocal masterworks that allow growth as musicians and individuals.
There will be a link from the "Performance Button" above on the right date and time for access to the  YouTube video of your students performance on their scheduled day.
